Common questions about fees, billing, and contracts
For straightforward setups (already on Xero/QuickBooks), onboarding is included free. For complex migrations from Sage, Tally, or Excel, or for significant historical cleanup, I charge a one-time fee quoted after assessment. This is typically £300-£800 depending on backlog.
I invoice monthly in GBP (British Pounds). Payment is by UK bank transfer — I have a UK GBP account (Citibank, Canary Wharf) so you pay as you would any UK supplier, with no international transfer fees or complications. Simply use your invoice number as the reference. Full bank details appear on every invoice and in the Pay by Bank Transfer section below.
No long-term contracts. I work on a rolling monthly basis with 30 days' notice. I'm confident you'll stay because of the value I deliver, not because of a contract.
Packages are reviewed quarterly. If your volume consistently exceeds your tier, I'll discuss moving to the next package. If it drops, we'll adjust down. No penalties — just fair pricing that matches your needs.
My service fee covers all bookkeeping, reporting, and support work. The Xero or QuickBooks software subscription is a separate cost paid directly to the software provider — typically £15–28/month depending on the plan you need. As a Xero Certified Advisor and QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I can often arrange partner-discounted rates for my clients, reducing this cost. Setup, configuration, and ongoing management of the software is fully included in my fee at no extra charge.
